Madonna foi eleita a mulher do ano pela Billboard. Durante o evento, Madonna fez um discurso emocionante: expôs suas dificuldades no início da carreira, na época do álbum Erotica e do livro Sex. Falou também sobre o preconceito contra a mulher e, principalmente, sobre envelhecer no mundo artístico.

Outro ponto alto do evento foi a homenagem que o cantor Labrinth fez à rainha do pop, ao interpretar de forma brilhante as canções Frozen e Like a Prayer. Imperdível!
